Calvin M. Holman served as an Arizona Legislator from 1975 to 1984. He was an active participant and leader in many community activities from 1961 when he arrived in Phoenix until his untimely death in an automobile accident in December 2007. Calvin Holman was particularly active in the politics of north Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley and was a loyal and active member of the Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Club. American Politics: 

Faculty in American Politics contribute to our strengths in campaigns and elections and the study of women and politics. Race and Politics is also an area of strength. Faculty are skilled in several core methodological approaches, such as survey research, experimental designs, and content analysis.
