Showcase your photography skills
Since 2009, the School of Politics and Global Studies has held an annual internship photo contest highlighting student experiences and their incredible talents. The contest is available to all current undergraduate and graduate SPGS students. The photo contest is currently not accepting submissions.
Photos are voted on during the ASU's Open Door event. Winners are awarded at the School's ceremony in April.
Photos can capture...
- Culture/place: media, heritage, religion, local, popular participation, identity, populations
- Economics: business, goods, services, capital, trade, poverty, inequality, negotiation, market
- Politics and governance: institutions, nationalism, internationalism, law, corruption, democracy, authority, legitimacy, policy, diplomacy
- Urban systems: building, sustainability, development, boundaries, population movement
- Environment: climate, biodiversity, pollution, environment degradation, ecological pressures
- Violence, conflict, and human rights: genocide, terrorism, humanitarian intervention, crisis, atrocity, justice, disaster, colonialism, protest
Submissions also must include a completed photo release form and a brief description of the story behind the photo and what inspired you to take it.
