Alum Mwende Mwinzi
“This program has awakened my desire to learn more and to play a role, however small, in improving international relations. Globalization has proven that famine, terrorism, inequality, disease and poverty have security implications that touch on us all or, as the Cameroonians say, ‘rain does not fall on one roof alone,’ which signals the need to keep the conversation on shared interests alive.”
Alum Satar Abass
“I cannot give the MAGS program enough praise to do it justice. I strongly believe the innovative program offers dynamic, highly engaging content, and classmates that challenge students to develop critical thinking skills necessary to become future world leaders. [The faculty] have taken genuine interest in advancing my career goals providing letters of recommendation, resume development, and extensive discussion on potential career paths.”
Alum Mohamed Asaadi
“[S]ince the first week I knew I was in the right place. Every week after that was a journey of learning, thinking and writing with a great deal of humility...Looking back at the last two years, I see how much my understanding of the world has evolved. The MA in Global Security has opened my eyes to new concepts that impacted me and pushed me — for the first time — to entertain the idea of career change.”
Alum Jonathon Rosenberg
"The MAGS curriculum, faculty, and staff are truly world class! The online program is flexible and the faculty sincerely cares about the success of their students. The curriculum challenged me to think more critically than ever before. I was able to engage with a diverse group of individuals that ranged from young professionals at Amazon and Google to senior members of the U.S. Military. I would 100% recommend the MAGS program to my colleagues and anyone trying to advance in the military, government, or private sector."
Alum John E. Oliveira
“The MAGS program succeeded in teaching this old dog new tricks. It has taken my worldly experiences on the ground and has provided political context to those experiences. I am no longer that private waiting in my muddy foxhole anxiously pondering what we are doing there. I am now the old warrior sage filled with knowledge and confidence.”
